ArvinMeritor  has chosen to use the ANSI Application Advice (ANSI 824) transaction as a response to the supplier Advance Shipment Notification (ASN). The detail in the 824 is generated by comparing the supplier's ASN transmission against the NAA data bases and reporting back any problems. ArvinMeritor has chosen to send an 824 only when a problem (warning or fatal error) if found.

The Application Advice can be used by the supplier to recognize when a discrepancy has been found and work to get the problem resolved before the shipment ever reaches the ArvinMeritor plant. An 824 will be generated within 10 minutes of our receipt of the ASN transmission in most cases.

If you use or will be using Supply Tech's translator, their Overlay Code is: AR3 824.
